XDRC HDR Contrast example

And here's another interesting feature of XDRC. By adjusting a few sliders we can obtain our own "tone mapping", that is compressing the luminance range of an image within a single "exposure".
If you want to follow step-by-step, download the XDepthRaw image from my previous post.

Now, the image developed "AsShot" at gamma 2.2 looks like this:

There's some dark foliage and the horizon is a bit too overexposed.
Now let's adjust this using: Exposure, Contrast, HDR Contrast and some Saturation and Gamma according to personal taste.
Here are a couple of variations for the desired result:

As we can see in the full-res version, the luminance range has been compressed in both images showing more detail in darker and brighter areas without adding that "washed-out" look some tone mappers produce. Actually Example_2 has a more balanced range than Example_1.
Saturation might be a bit high...but that's my own personal taste. You can still download the settings below used for the examples and change that to your own taste.
